The Department of Intelligent Computing and Mathematics was established in 2018, with 1 professor (doctoral supervisor), 4 associate professors (1 master's supervisor), 7 lecturers, and 1 postdoctoral fellow. Among the faculty members, 7 teachers have doctoral degrees.

The Department mainly offers general and specialized basic courses relating with mathematics and computer science. Medical Advanced Mathematics and its supplementary teaching materials have been awarded as a key textbook in Jiangsu Province. The Department has undertaken multiple teaching reform projects and won national, provincial, and school level teaching awards many times. Several courses have been awarded as the first-class course in NMU.

We also guided students to participate in competitions and innovations. In recent years, we have won numerous national and provincial awards in China Undergraduate Mathematical Contest in Modeling, Mathematical Contest in Modeling and Interdisciplinary Contest in Modeling, Chinese Collegiate Computing Competition, and Jiangsu Provincial Advanced Mathematics Competition.

In terms of scientific research, the Department has undertaken or participated in several national and provincial scientific research projects, and published multiple SCI or EI papers.
